Ok I lied, I said the last entry was going to be my last blog entry, but it's not. I had to blog about tonight's session. But before that, I wanted to share my whirlwind of a day. I had insomnia last night, listened to Cole's tantrum episode this morning (yes I ran out of ear plugs), and got food poisoning for dinner....Tuna sandwich just wasn't right for me. So instead of going to bed early like I should, I had to come back out and blog about it. LOL!

Anyway, meet the M Family visiting Hawaii for the week. We had fun! Hope you like the sneak peaks...and thanks guys for walking everywhere with me =)

Ahhh, we caught the sunset! Sunset time was supposed to be at 6:14pm...but at 6:05pm we noticed the sun starting to set behind that huge cloud. So we hurried down to get a picture of the sunset. Man, it went down fast, but I think we got it!

Thanks for the night, I'm happy I got to meet you guys! Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here in Hawaii.

Met up with Athena today to get some shots done...it started raining =( But it was nice while it lasted. Again I had to bribe Cole with food...so he's holding the bag of Animal Crackers.

Anyway I got one done. I'm working on a new blog so I wont be blogging too much this week, will transfer everything over.

I just did a photoshoot of this beautiful family tonight at sunset down at the North Shore. We had so much fun. Just one for tonight until I go through the rest.

UPDATE **As I sit here editing, I decide to give this new 'Blog It Boards' a try and I love it! Kai boy here got excited when mommy came to get him! So adorable!

I met up with my old friend Gina this evening. We went to high school together and was in the same dance group, the "Jam City Rockers." Haha, it sounds so funny now that I look back at that, but well we thought we were cool hip hop dancers!! I met her new family...and they are such a beautiful family. I hope you like the sneak peak!

Handsome little man...

It looks like it's snowing, especially with baby's little hat on. It just started to drizzle, it added a nice touch to it though.

Glass Beach...called that because the sand sparkles like glass. I've never been here before and I grew up on this island. I feel so sheltered. This is my new favorite spot! I wish Oahu had more beaches like this.

My brother got a new streetbike...it looks cool...but it is scary with so many bike accidents out there....but it's a guy thing I guess. Just wear the gear!! When he brought it over I thought it be a good idea to get some action shots!

I grew up with my cousin Kristen at the old Kaumakani Plantation houses. We were close, everytime I wanted to "run away" from home, I ran right down the street to her house. It was a bummer that my mom knew where to find me.

Anyway, she got married today to Mike. It was such a fun and HOT day. I mean HOT! I think I got a sunburn on my face even though I was wearing sunblock. But it was such a great and intimate wedding. I was happy to be a part of it. I just got to some tonight before I go to bed. What do you think? Congratulations you two! Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day!

We got ready at the Cottages. It's so pretty there! The houses are so old but so beautiful! I wish we had time to walk around for photos. But we were running a little late.

After the ceremony, there was this abandoned warehouse right across the street...we ran over to get a few shots.

And over to the Marina for lunch. I remember riding the boats here when we were in elementary school for the Fern Grotto excursion.

Ok I know I posted a lot....but I had to add one more thing about Kauai...there are so many chickens, roosters, and peacocks roaming EVERYWHERE! There's even some roaming in my parent's backyard. You'd think all of Kauai was a farm.

I am on Kauai right now, will be doing a cousin's wedding tomorrow. I'm so excited! I've done weddings as a second shooter before, never thought about me doing it myself. Maybe I might change my mind...we'll see.

Cole was a handful at the airport, on the airplane, and on the ride from the airport to my parents house. There goes my idea of going to Vegas for a family vacation. It was a long day....I had a huge headache after. Thank God my parents took him away from me to give me a break!!! Next time I will give him Benadryl...like many parents tell me to do but I haven't done. Will post tomorrow hopefully after the wedding.

Chinatown

I went to Chinatown with my new photog buddy Athena Plichta and it was fun! Got some urban shots of our little ones. They're both so cute! I think that's my new favorite spot...but let me tell ya, there are some interesting people there. You can check her website for her shots.

I told him there was a beach on the other side of the gate...but he tried to slide through to get there...

I told him if he smiled, he could play with my ipod touch (in his hands)...

I got to spend time with this awesome family tonight. 'T' is actually a friend of mine from the moms club. Their 13 month old is so cute!! I wanted to take him home with me! He was picking up flowers (aka weeds) from the ground and giving them to me...awww!

I'm sleeping late tonight finishing my editing....listening to NKOTB "Step by Step"...yup flashback night. When I heard they got back together, I had to go get their greatest hits. I had their casette tape back in the 6th grade (yes I remember) ....but who has a casette player anymore. I remember wanted to be Mrs. Jonathan Knight, LOL. His posters were all over my wall, thanks to 'Big Bopper' magazine.

Anyway, I'm finishing my editing with Jess and her kids and I thought this was cute. She's such a cutie, but everytime I counted to 3, she would always blink. So with this shot, I didn't count...I think that worked. Anyway, today is her birthday so wanted to wish her a Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great day!

I had guys do photos today! Actually they're my brother and his 2 best friends from high school on Kauai. They're so cool...but I don't think they smiled at me once. LOL. We went to my old college, U.H. Manoa, and hung out at the Campus Center. I didn't remember the steps being so green though.

After this we went up the street where there was this cool place that I never knew existed...and I lived here how many years?? And it was right across the park that I always bring Cole to play at.

Dee and her family came to visit us today after going to see their parents for grandparents day. I didn't know there was such a thing, but I'm glad there is....shoot I forgot to call my parents. Anyway, I got a little mini session of them up at our park. It was really nice.

And they got some time alone while baby sat in the stroller... He looks so in love with her....or is he sleeping??? LOL

Cole is such an active 2 yr old boy. I have a hard time getting a good picture of him because I'm playing with the knobs on the camera to get it to the right setting. He can't keep still. At gymnastics he will be up and ready to go while the coach is doing his demonstration. It is nice though when he will finally look at my camera. *sigh*

I feel like a giddy high school girl, but hey I met John Cena! He's a WWE wrestler and was on the movie 'The Marine' . I'm not a big wrestling fan, but my husband is, and I only watch it for the muscular and good looking guys. It's funny, it's a male soap opera. When I saw that he was going to be signing autographs at our local GNC store, I got so excited, I made my hubby take the day off from work. So we went early in the morning and there was already a line! We walked inside just to see if we needed to do anything, and the sales girl said that if we buy all these stuff then she'll stick us in the line now. OK, so I got whatever she said to. I got this protein or weight gain powder for a body builder, it was something that John Cena was promoting. LOL...I gave that to my brother since he works out. So I got to the front of the line hoping he'd notice the "Mrs Cena" shirt I was wearing. The whole time I'm thinking 'alright, I should hug him or something'...and when I got to him all I said was 'ah ee ohh uhh emmmm hiiii' ...LOL I thought it was funny.

My girlfriend and I went to the movies with our kiddoes. As she went to go get the popcorn, Cole and Ava ran to the photobooth. So I ran after them wondering what they were doing, Ava looked up and tried to shut the curtain. I thought that it was soo cute! So I stuck $3 in the machine to take their photos. I think they look so sweet together!!!

Went over to my cousin's house to get a picture of her 5 month old son, Brody.

I love this look on him, he has that one eyebrow up, like The ROCK!!!

Then she started posing when I turned the camera to her, it was fun... Here's mama...

Me and kiddo...gave Jenn the camera and she started going nuts. It's funny to see a first timer with a SLR camera, she was watching the screen for the live view of us and had to tell her to look through the view finder, she kept saying how heavy the camera was and didn't know how to zoom in and out...she pulled the front of my lens forward to zoom in...AGGHHH!! Not the L lens!

Wow it's been a while since I've blogged. Been busy with other projects and assisting at weddings. I didn't realize it's almost been 2 months since I've added something new. Anyway, we took family pictures the other day by my sister-n-law. My son started smiling at the camera again, finally!! This is my sister-n-law, Alicia Yoshimoto, who is not usually in front of the camera.
